Due to a few days with strong winds, I was forced to miss most of my swim sessions this week. The bad weather also forced me off the road bike onto the mountain bike a few of times. I feel I'm putting in the miles on the bike but not enough quality miles is resulting in little improvement. The bike is certainly an area I need to focus on. My first serious running speedwork session since the Florence Marathon made me reaslise I need to get the speed back into my running in order to get on track for a good time at London in April
Welcome to my blog. This is a personal diary documenting my quest to complete my first Ironman triathlon and maybe one day qualify for the World Championships in Hawaii. I hope to post at least one entry per week. Whilst I can't imagine why anyone would be interested to read this, I hope it might be of some use to others who are training and may want to learn from my mistakes. I hope also that it may inspire others to have a go at triathlon and maybe one day take part in an Ironman.
